Institutionalizing the Bystander Initiative to Mitigate Sexual Assault on Campus

A two-year Bystander Initiative (BI) AAS position to solidify and magnify the benefits of the University’s  existing sexual assault prevention education by (i) expanding to 2,000 the number of students offered the Bringing in the Bystander™ (BITB) workshop annually; (ii) tripling the number of highly trained peer educators on campus; and (iii) making available to staff, faculty, and students expert sexual assault prevention advice, education, and training, as needed.
