Provost and Vice-President, Academic

The Provost and Vice-President Academic is the chief academic officer at the University of Windsor. In this capacity, the Provost oversees all academic programs and serves as the principal advisor to the President on all academic affairs.

Key operations of the Office of the Provost include:

• academic planning and the development of new academic programs;
• promoting teaching and learning excellence;
• managing relations with other post secondary institutions;
• internationalization;
• student services and student engagement activities;
• the articulation and implementation of the University's shared vision of its future; and
• the management and development of the university's academic budget.

The university's current Provost/Vice-President Academic is Leo Groarke.
