Outreach to our external community is of vital importance to alumni, fundraising, relationships with government and industry partners for our research, and the broader messaging about the quality and impact of our university. The engagement of donors is so critical for student support, for capital projects, and for a wide range of other activities that enrich the university experience. Outreach will continue to be a major priority.
-
Have a minimum of 10 alumni outreach events across Canada, and two internationally
-
Advocate for the university with elected members and bureaucratic officials locally, provincially and federally
-
Place a priority on CEI fundraising, which will be at its most active phase in the latter part of 2012
-
Assess how to best make strategic investments in fundraising capacity within the context of a very challenged operating budget
-
Continue planning for our 50th anniversary event in 2013/14, including the public launch of a comprehensive campaign in support of our capital and academic plans
-
Seek to have eight thousand (8,000) alumni donors in our 50th anniversary year
-
Place a continuing emphasis on having positive relationships with the city and county.
