Microstructural and Physical-Chemical Analysis of Novel Materials and Biomaterials using Advanced Physical Methods

My group is multidisciplinary. It includes such disciplines as Physics, Material Sciences, Chemistry, Biophysics, and Biochemistry. In our work, we are using various advanced methods including acoustic microscopy, thermo-imaging, Raman Spectroscopy, etc. for the investigation of the Physico-Chemical nature and structure of different materials.

My research group is working in three main areas:

  • Adhesive and nano-composite structures (“Ultrasonic Evaluation of Adhesive Joints” and “Investigation of the Physico-Chemical Nature and Structure of Adhesive and Polymer Nano-Composite Joints during their Degradation Process”);
  • Study of the properties and degradation process of bio and ecology clean material based composites (“The Ontario BioCar Project); and
  • Investigation of hard and soft biological tissue in biomedical projects (“Imaging of Brain Structures through Thick Skull Bones”, “Breast Cancer Detection by High-Resolution Acoustic Imaging
