Dr. Kathryn Lafreniere, Professor, Psychology Department

I am interested in both individual and societal influences on health and well-being, and these core interests have shaped my teaching and research.

I teach undergraduate courses in the areas of community psychology, health psychology, and research methods.   At the graduate level, I teach Ethical Issues in Applied Psychology, Community Psychology, and Health Psychology.  I also supervise a number of graduate students as a member of the Applied Social Psychology graduate program, as well as undergraduate students' theses and research projects.

My current research examines motivational and personality predictors of academic risk-taking.
