The 2015 AGM was held on Wednesday April 8 from 5:00 - 6:30 pm in the OPUS Lounge. There was a raffle draw for some special door prizes for part-time undergraduate students who attended this AGM. 5 door prizes were given away, 2 of them were sponsored by the Alumni Association. The full results of the 2015 OPUS Board of Directors biennial election, including the votes casted in each position for all candidates were ratified by the OPUS membership during this general meeting.

The following OPUS Board of Director positions were acclaimed or elected during these elections:

Bernarda Doctor Vice President
Chris Baillargeon Treasurer
Shaista Akbar  Director-at-Large
Fahed Baghdadi Director-at-Large
Hussein Elnimairi Director-at-Large
Shehnaz Khuhro Director-at-Large
Felicia Kudiabor Director-at-Large
Hussein Zarif  Director-at-Large

The above directors' will hold office effective May 1, 2015 until Apr. 30, 2017.

Please note that the AGM Booklet is available to view in the OPUS office. Snacks & Refreshments were also provided.

The AGM provides an opportunity for OPUS Members to review reports from the OPUS Board of Directors and Staff about the activities that OPUS has been involved in on campus over the past year and to assess the accomplishments that were experienced. Students also have the opportunity to ask questions to the OPUS Board of Directors who report back to students as they advocate on their behalf during committee activities. In addition, we’ll be highlighting the OPUS Strategic plan initiatives and the action plan items for the 2015-16 year. The OPUS Vice President chaired this years' meeting as the President was away. Thanks to the Dean of Students Dr. Clayton Smith for attending.

Annual General Meeting 2012

The 2012 AGM was held on Thurs. Mar. 29, 2012 in the OPUS office from 5:00 - 6:00 pm. Those in attendance reviewed the Annual Board, Staff & Financial Reports. The Vice-President announced that OPUS is developing a 3 year Strategic Plan. The OPUS Board and Staff plan to hold a one-day workshop this summer in finalizing the 2012-2015 OPUS Strategic Plan. Students at the AGM enjoyed free pizza, wings and pop. Two lucky students won a special door prize, compliments of the Alumni Association.

The 2011 AGM was held on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 in the OPUS Office at the CAW Student Centre room 172. The event began at 5:30 in the evening.
The OPUS Annual General Meeting (AGM) is usually held in the Winter semester. The AGM serves as closure for the previous year and as a first meeting for the New Year.
All part-time undergraduate students are more than encouraged to attend to see how OPUS has advocated on their behalf throughout the year.
All members in attendance have the opportunity to ask questions and review with the OPUS Board of Directors the OPUS Constitution, By-laws and Financial Statements.
