Our Odette Master of Business Administration (MBA) is an intensive 14-month program with an integrated curriculum combining lectures, case studies, computer simulations, and real-world client presentations to prepare you for success in the business world. This program is designed to give you a solid grounding in the fundamental areas of commerce, as well as providing up-to-date coverage of the latest business advances. Students with a Bachelor of Commerce degree who have completed the 18 prerequisite courses recognized by CPA Ontario at the Odette School of Business can apply for admission into the Odette Master of Business Administration - Professional Accounting Specialization (MBA-PAS). MBA-PAS can be completed within 12 months. Graduates of the MBA-PAS who have also successfully completed the 18 pre-requisite courses in the undergraduate degree program receive advance standing in the CPA Professional Education Program (CPA PEP), and enter directly to the Common Final Examination (CFE). This pathway enables students to progress towards a CPA designation and at the same time to complete an MBA degree. MBA-PAS will be offered starting September 2017 preparing students for the CFE in September 2018.
Targeted at mid-career professionals, the MBA for Managers and Professionals (M&P) is optimized for students to maintain their current career while building the skills and knowledge necessary for leadership positions in the 21st century business environment.
Offered in partnership with our Centre for Executive and Professional Education, the MoM is a 16-month program designed to prepare you for a leadership role in your field. Some of the core competencies that our MoM students obtain are: advanced management skills, accounting, finance, business strategies, marketing, international business and aspects of human resources. The MoM offers four areas of specialization:
Offered by the Faculty of Engineering in partnership with the Odette School of Business, the MEM program prepares engineers for management roles.Graduates are ready to occupy leadership roles in multinational engineering and technical enterprises and contribute to manufacturing strategies, corporate innovation and operations management. Coursework also includes planning and executing technology commercialization and go-to-market strategies to foster an entrepreneurial spirit among MEM graduates.
On-Demand Focus Areas and Flexible Schedule MEM is offered as a two-year, weekend program designed to accommodate the busy schedules of working professionals. Classes take place every second weekend on Friday evenings (6:30-9 pm) and Saturdays (8:30 am to 6 pm).
Participants must complete eight courses plus an engineering management capstone project linked to one of the following specialization areas: Manufacturing Strategy Operations Management Project Management Entrepreneurship and Innovation Supply Chain Management
