There are many ways to complement your academics, challenge yourself, and meet new people here at Odette. One of those ways is through our competitive academic teams.
The Odette Debate Team has evolved into one of the most prestigious teams on campus. Representing both the Odette School of Business and the University of Windsor internationally, undergraduate students travel throughout the United States and Canada to compete. In an annual tradition, Odette hosts students from Indiana’s Notre Dame University for a debate. No experience is necessary. For more information, contact Prof. Vincent Georgie, Faculty Advisor to the Debate Team.
The Excalibur Competition is an annual Canada-wide Human Resources case competition. Competing is intensive, and Odette has reached as high as third place winning not only prestige for the School, but scholarships for the participants. For more information, contact the HR Club.
The Accounting Case Competition is an internal competition for third- and fourth-year Accounting students at Odette. Teams of two are given a case, similar in style to a UFE (Chartered Accountant qualification exam) case and have limited time to analyze and prepare a presentation. The winning team receives a cash prize. For more information contact the Honorary Accounting Society.
Of course, there are always new teams and events being created, so keep your eyes open and get involved!
