Background: 
Dr. Ashish Mahajan is an associate professor of management at the Odette School of Business, University of Windsor, Canada. He received his Ph.D. from the New Mexico State University and a Masters in Human Resources and Organizational Development from Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi, India.

Prior to completing his Ph.D., Dr. Mahajan worked in the Indian Telecom sector with Spice Communication Ltd. (now Idea Cellular) and in consulting with the world’s largest HR consulting firm - William M. Mercer (now Mercer) in India.

Dr. Mahajan has been a visiting faculty at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.

Research Interests:
Dr. Mahajan’s research interests are in the areas of Cross-cultural management, Leadership, power & politics, and HR practices & employee behaviour. His work has appeared in such journals as the Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of World Business, International Journal of Human Resource Management, International Journal of Cross Cultural Management, and Journal of Managerial Issues. He has presented several papers at the annual meetings of the Academy of Management and other regional meetings. He has received several research awards including a Best Paper from the International Management Division of the Academy of Management, a Best Paper from the Academy of International Business – South East Chapter, and an award for Outstanding Research from the Department of Management at the New Mexico State University. He has also received several internal and external research grants, most notable, from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.

He has served as an ad hoc reviewer for such journals as the Journal of International Business Studies, International Journal of Human Resource Management, and Journal of Business Research. He has reviewed for the annual meetings of the Academy of Management as well as for the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. In his capacity as a reviewer, he has received several awards including Outstanding Reviewer from the Organizational Behaviour Division of the Academy of Management, and Best Reviewer in two consecutive years from the International Management Division of the Academy of Management. He has also served as the Session Chair for the International Management Division of the Academy of Management.
