Students mentoring Students.
In September, 2010, Windsor Law launched a Peer Mentorship Program matching first-year students with upper-year student mentors to provide additional personal and academic support. The Peer Mentorship Program is administered through the Student Services Office under the direction of Francine Herlehy, Assistant Dean (Student Services) and Professor Donna-Marie Eansor, Faculty Advisor.
We are pleased to announce that Fariya Walji, Law III, will act as Student Coordinator for the PMP for the 2013-2014 academic year. Building on the many successes enjoyed by the PMP program in previous years under the leadership of Jacqueline Goslett, Armin Sethi, and Soni Bal, Fariya will play a key role in the administration of this program including the development of further student supports.
As CEO and Founder of Change Tomorrow's World, and as a former mentee and mentor at Windsor Law, Fariya has gained experience with the many facets of student mentorship. She has been very successful in several Moot competitions and shared her mooting experience with first year students as a Teaching Assistant. Fariya has worked as a volunteer at Community Legal Aid and has worked at the Association of Law Officers of the Crown.
Fariya brings her experience, skills, and enthusiasm to the role of Student Coordinator of the Windsor Law Peer Mentorship Program (PMP).
