A personal journal application is designed to keep private documents not intended to be shared with others. A personal journal entry may be used as a diary, a lab notebook, or simply as a holding place to compose documents before they are ready for wider distribution.

Just like Personal Address Book (Contacts), the Personal Journal database can be included in the roaming files so that it gets synchronized between all the computers that you have installed Lotus Notes on. However, unlike Personal Address Book, the Personal Journal database does not get created automatically after installing Lotus Notes on your computer. You will need to create it manually. Once you have created it and had included it in your roaming files, you can have it 'pushed' wirelessly to your BlackBerry device (MemoPad application on your device).
