Part Time Student Care Case Manager in the Office of the Associate Vice-President, Student Experience (Temporary until approximately July 31, 2020 - up to 24 hours per week)

The Student Care Case Manager is responsible to conduct intake assessments and for the case management of at risk students and connect these students to a broad network of resources, support services and programs that addresses their academic and personal needs.


The successful candidate will possess:

• Master's degree in counseling, social work, higher education, educational psychology or a related field.

• Minimum one-year experience in a higher education or comparable setting working with students in a counseling, mentoring or advisory role.

• An understanding of FIPPA, and other relevant laws and regulations, and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality

• Experience with dispute resolution mechanisms and/or conflict management and/or risk management processes

• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

• Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and cultural competence

• The ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of students, faculty, administrators and staff.

• Proven ability to handle multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail

• Ability to function independently and as part of a team.

• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office suite) and experience with databases.
