Organizational Development and Training Assistant in the Department of Human Resources

Reporting to the Director, Organizational Development & Training the Organizational Development & Training Assistant is responsible for providing support for the development and implementation of organizational development activities/programs and projects, including coordinating activities for assigned projects, conducting literature review, gathering and compiling information, analysing data and drafting documents. The incumbent will also be responsible for supporting the development of the annual professional development calendar and other training opportunities including developing and coordinating the training schedule, liaising with trainers and carrying out training related logistics.


The successful candidate will possess:

• University degree in a related field

• Experience providing support for the development and implementation of initiatives, programs and/or projects 

• Experience supporting and coordinating the work of committees

• Strong computer skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, PDF editor, database and survey development software

• Experience conducting literature reviews, analyzing data (quantitative and qualitative) and drafting materials and reports

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, time management and problem-solving skills

• Demonstrated tact, diplomacy, sound judgment and critical thinking skills

• Ability to handle and protect confidential information

• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and as part of a team.
