Director, Student Recruitment in the Office of Enrolment Management - Recruitment

The Director of Student Recruitment provides strategic leadership in order to support the delivery and achievement of the University’s Strategic Enrolment Management (SEM) Plan. A senior position within the Office of the Enrolment Management, the incumbent is responsible for developing a strong enrolment pipeline by developing and implementing an integrated recruitment strategy comprised of communications, relationship development / maintenance and enrolment management business plans.


ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate will possess:

• A University undergraduate degree in a relevant field (such as Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications);

• A minimum of 5-years of experience in sales, promotion, or marketing within in an educational environment, including admissions/recruitment experience, preferably within the post-secondary sector;

• A minimum of 3-years of progressively more responsible strategic experience, including setting goals and objectives, coordination, planning, evaluation and reporting;

• Experience event planning / project management experience for events involving 100+ participants;

• Demonstrated ability to problem solve, and make effective decisions independently;

• A comprehensive knowledge of Ontario, Canadian, and International educational systems with specific attention to higher education programs, policies, and procedures;

• Demonstrated experience in both domestic and international marketing communications and strategies;

• Ability to speak knowledgeably about all aspects of education life, including recruitment and admissions, Canadian and international education systems, transition issues, academic programs, systems of study, financing, residence, student life and success, and success after graduation;

• Awareness of and sensitivity to cultural, language, religious, political, socio-economic, and other relevant factors in UWindsor’s recruitment markets, including a demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion;

• Strong leadership and management skills, including proven ability to lead and motivate teams;

• Strong verbal and written communication skills;

• Highly developed interpersonal skills, including leadership, negotiation, influence and relationship building;

• Demonstrated record of generating new business and building/maintaining client relationships in existing and new market sectors;

• Familiarity or knowledge of a Student Administration System (or other similar information systems), MS Office, and Database systems;

• Confident working with data and excellent analytical skills;

• Demonstrated experiencing tracking leads/relationships through CRM system and other marketing tools throughout the client relationship cycle and reports process;

• A passport holder or be eligible to apply for a passport; and,

• Willingness and ability to travel in Ontario, Canada, and Internationally, as required.
