Education Assistant Classification "IV" in the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry (Substitute vacancy until approximately August 30, 2020)

The Education Assistant works with physicians, medical learners, hospital staff, various Schulich Medicine Departments, the University of Windsor, and Western University to support medical learners during their clerkship and residency training phases.


The candidate will possess:

• Community College Diploma in a related field (Health, Education, or Business)

• 3 years’ related experience in a medical office or healthcare environment performing administrative duties

• Knowledge of administrative practices and programs in hospitals

• Knowledge of Medical Education and Distributed Medical Education

• Ability to work independently; well organized, accurate and conscientious

• Ability to prioritize multiple projects, tasks and deadlines in a very fast-paced environment

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, tact and diplomacy at all times

• Thorough knowledge of computer software (MS Office) and database applications

• Experience with electronic scheduling (Lotus Notes, e-mail and internet)

• Good teamwork and customer service skills

• Ability to travel between Windsor Hospital sites and the University of Windsor

• Working a flexible schedule is required


• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.

Rate of pay:
Classification "IV" per Schedule A of the Collective Agreement
