Part Time Office Clerk '7' in the Food Services Department (up to a maximum of 24 hrs. per week)

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

The Office Clerk is responsible for providing administrative support in Food Services. This includes processing daily deposits, maintain petty cash, processing employee time cards and invoice.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

1. Process employee time cards and enter data onto payroll system.

2. Review labour summary reports to ensure data is accurate when compared to the time cards.

3. Process daily deposits and weekly coin orders.

4. Administer petty cash.

5. Process supplier invoices for payment and reconcile with statements from vendors.

6. Provides secretarial support; answers in person, phone and email queries.

7. Order office supplies.

8. Maintain department’s website.

9. Other duties as assigned.

HOURS OF WORK:

Monday – Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

(30 minute unpaid lunch and one 15 minute paid break)

(Up to a maximum of 24 hrs per week – work schedule may vary)

 

THE FOLLOWING TESTS WILL BE ADMINISTERED:

MS Word (Basic Level), MS Excel (Basic Level); Typing; Data Entry; Math Test


ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

•Excellent math skills with significant experience in cash reconciliation

• The ability to be well organized, accurate, problem solve, have attention to detail and the ability to multi- task and prioritize within tight deadlines

• Experience with a computerized financial system (e.g. UWinsite Finance)

• Experience in processing payroll and invoicing

• Able to work in a team environment and independently under minimal supervision

• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills

• Experience in maintaining websites (e.g. Drupal)

• Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in all situations and the ability to maintain confidentiality

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) as well as use of electronic mail and the Internet are required; Typing 30 NWPM


Rate of pay:
As per schedule 'A' - Unifor 2458 PT Collective Agreement
