PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the Assistant Vice-President, North American Recruitment, this position is an essential component of the University’s enrolment management strategy. The Coordinator will be responsible for the development, coordination and implementation of student communications and events in support of student recruitment and retention initiatives.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

1. Develop, coordinate and streamline student recruitment communications and events (print, web, and email formats) to generate a higher prospect to applicant confirmation ratios in support of the University’s efforts to achieve entering student enrolment targets and generate higher student retention ratios in order to enhance the quality of student experience.

2. Be familiar with University of Windsor academic programs.

3. Provide leadership and direction to staff and faculty in recruitment and retention communication initiatives.

4. Build strong relationships with internal university office staff as well as ‘student influencers’ to ensure correct targeting of communications.

5. Demonstrate a commitment to the goals of enrolment management for the university.

6. Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase the quality and success of events.

7. Regularly review and revise events and communications for future planning.

8. Utilize excellent organizational skills in budgeting activities and adhering to timelines.

9. Perform related duties as required by the Vice-Provost, Students and Registrar.

10. Ability to develop final or annual reports on an event or operations.


ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate will have:

• A bachelor’s degree (preferably in a related field)

• Superior written and oral communication skills, demonstrated public relations skills and refined interpersonal skills

• Previous event planning, sales, marketing or recruitment experience

• Effective time management and strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask

• Strong commitment to customer service and possess effective relationship building skills

• Demonstrated proficiency with computer programs such as Microsoft Office, email, and Internet.

• Highly motivated, self-starter with a creative mind

• Analytical skills and the ability to work under pressure
