Substitute Student Recruitment Officer Classification "VI" in the Student Recruitment Office until approximately August 2018

The incumbent will work within the Student Recruitment Office, under the direct supervision of the Assistant Vice-President, North American Recruitment, and in close cooperation with the Student Recruitment Officers and secretary Office Coordinator. The Student Recruitment Officer is responsible for positively representing the entire University in the secondary school constituency by helping to inform potential students, their families and teachers about the opportunities for study at the University of Windsor. This is accomplished by extensive travel throughout the province, representation at the Ontario Universities’ Fair, and the community at large, in order to recruit well-qualified students.


The successful candidate will have completed:

• University degree and/or post-secondary education in a related field

• excellent communication, written and oral presentation skills

• ability to work in a fast paced environment to meet strict deadlines

• highly organized with the ability to recall information quickly, think critically and research relative information utilizing various tools in order to positively represent the University

• familiar with university academic requirements and student services

• Strong computer skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to conduct self professionally, having the confidence to quickly build rapport with staff and prospective students

• Superior judgment, tact and diplomacy, interacting optimistically in a variety of social settings

• Willingness to travel and maintain a flexible schedule

Rate of pay:
Classification 'VI' per Schedule 'A' of the Collective Agreement
