Identification of User Behavioral Biometrics for Authentication using Keystroke Dynamics and Machine Learning

Abstract: Keystroke dynamics refer to the unique patterns of rhythms and timing based features that are created when a user accesses the computing screen in the computing devices. This research focuses on the behavior of users accessing computing devices. I propose to develop machine learning algorithms that confirm the identity of the users by collecting anonymous data, which is used to train classification algorithms. To protect the users from illegitimate use of their accounts, the attributes of how they use their keyboard and mouse are taken into account for authorizing the user. The proposed method adds another layer of security by increasing the level of authentication by continuously monitoring their session. This will contribute significantly to the field of cyber security.
