5th Annnual Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition

Attention Graduate Students - Registration is now open!

Who can participate:

  • current Doctoral and Master's students registered in a dissertation, thesis or major research paper and who have made substantial progress on research and analysis

Competition highlights:

  • 3MT® is internationally recognized in 53 countries around the world
  • 18 participating Canadian Universities
  • the UWindsor winner will represent the University of Windsor at the Ontario provincial final at the University of Waterloo on April 12, 2017

How to participate:

  • to sign up for the UWindsor competition students should register online - spots are limited
  • Contestants must be available to present, in person, on the following dates:
    • Information coaching session: March 6, 2017 from 10a.m. to 11:30a.m. in Toldo Room 203.
    • Heats: March 20 and 22 at 3p.m. in Katzman Lounge, Vanier Hall
    • To advance in the competition, Heat winners must also be available to present, in person, at the UWindsor final on March 28, 2017 starting at 1:00 p.m. in Ambassador Auditorium, CAW Center.
  • The Winner will represent the University of Windsor at the Ontario 3MT® competition final at the University of Waterloo on April 12, 2017 where Ontario Universities will compete in the second Provincial Championship.
