Application Instructions

Electronic Graduate Application System (eGAS) – University of Windsor

Please read carefully

All documents must be in PDF format and are submitted online as follows:

STEP 1: Preliminary application and payment of application fee

  • Click on the “Apply Online” link
  • Create and account and log in
  • Select the program and complete all required information, including full referee information
  • Pay the application fee and submit this part of the application
  • You will receive an email acknowledging receipt of the application and instructions on how to upload your required documents
  • If you have an active myUWindsor ID proceed to Step 3

STEP 2: Uwin ID Activation (if applicable)

  • If you do not already have a UWin ID, you will receive an e-mail confirmation with student number and personal access code upon completing Step 1
  • Use the provided student number and personal access code to activate your UWin account at: “https://my.uwindsor.ca/web/uw/activate-account”
  • Once activated, you will receive a notification with your UWin username and password (different from above mentioned student number and personal access code)

STEP 3: Uploading your documents

Log into eGAS at “www.uwindsor.ca/egas” with your activated UWin username and password.
On eGAS, you must upload all of the listed required documents and English proficiency test scores (if applicable) on the “Applicant Documents” tab. Only PDF format is accepted
Once all required documents are uploaded to eGAS, and your referee information is confirmed, click on “Submit Application” for final application submission. At this point, referees will receive an automatic e-mail notification to complete the confidential reference forms electronically. Hard copies of the forms should not be submitted
The referees have 21 days to submit their form, so you may need to contact your referees individually to remind them of the deadline
If your referees are unable to complete their reference by the deadline, or if you need to change the names of your referees, contact gradadmit@uwindsor.ca
