Income Tax Forms & Unpaid Accounts
Important Note: If you have not paid in full your fees for 2014 Winter, 2014 Summer or 2014 Fall, you will not have dollar values available for each semester that is unpaid (you will however have the number of months of attendance recorded). Once your account is paid in full, please contact the Cashiers' Office to have revised figures made available to you.
What Amounts are Recorded?
Please note that the dollar values recorded for your tax information are not the same as the amount you have paid on your account, as some fees are not claimable for income tax purposes.
Your Winter 2015 fees will not appear on the 2014 file - they will appear for the 2015 taxation year, which will be available by the end of February of 2016.
Even if you are not eligible to claim any tuition amounts, you may still be eligible to claim the number of months of full or part-time attendance. If you are unsure of what you can claim, contact Canada Revenue Agency for clarification.
Tax Receipts and Confidentiality
We cannot give tax forms to anyone but the student. Because your tax form contains your student ID number, University of Windsor Senate Bylaws forbid us to provide a printed form to anyone but the student. If you want your parents or other persons to receive this information, you must obtain it yourself and forward it to them. While we recognize that this is an inconvenience for you, we are strongly committed to upholding the integrity of the student records for the protection of every student at the University.
