Canterbury ElderCollege is a not-for-profit organization providing fun, exciting, educational, and entertaining learning opportunities for older adults who wish to enrich their lifestyle through active involvement. Offering courses all over Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent counties, ElderCollege offers an outlet for those aged 55 and better to contribute to the social and cultural development of their communities.

Our courses are developed and managed by a large group of dedicated volunteers who truly give life to the program! Our Curriculum Committees, Course Managers, and Instructors work together to offer a new variety of affordable and entertaining courses each Fall and Spring.

If you have a passion or expertise you want to share, why not fill out a course proposal form? Volunteer Instructors at ElderCollege have the flexibility to design and customize their courses in the way that suits them best!

Course Proposal Due Dates
Course proposals for the Fall Semester (September-December) are due by mid-June. Course proposals for the Spring Semester (February-June) are due by mid-November!

Course Managers work behind the scenes to help develop and manage all of our wonderful courses. They work closely with our course managers and administrative staff to ensure that the courses they manage run smoothly; not to mention they get the added benefit of attending the courses they manage for free! If you’re creative, organized, and eager to learn, than volunteering as a Course Manager is perfect for you! Contact Catherine at for more information on how to get started!
