Frequently Asked Questions

1) Where should I drop-off and pick-up my child?

All campers will use the EAST entrance doors of the St. Denis Centre located behind the Human Kinetics Building (2555 College Ave.). All Campers must be accompanied by an adult. In addition, campers will need to be signed-in every morning, and signed-out at the end of the day by their parent/guardian. Photo identification is required. If somebody other than the parent/guardian will be picking-up your child, you must notify staff. 

When you pick-up and drop-off your child, you must park in the U lot. Campus parking enforcement will allow complimentary parking in this lot between 8:00 AM- 9:00 AM, and 4:00 PM- 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. NO appeals of tickets received for parking outside of these hours will be allowed. Do not park in the turn-around circle. This is a fire route, and you will be ticketed. 

2) When should I drop-off my child, and when should I pick them up?

Children may be dropped-off between 8:00 AM- 9:00 AM and picked up between 3:30 PM- 5:00 PM for no additional cost. 

3) Is there an early drop-off or late pick-up service?

No. We have extended our hours of opporation to 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM free of charge. All children must be dropepd off and picked up between these hours.

4) How do you take care of medical needs at camp?

Our camp leaders are trained in CPR "C" and First-Aid. They will treat minor scrapes and bruises. If your child has other special medical needs, we ask that you make us aware of them at the time of registration. 

5) What are camp hours?

Summer 2017 Camps will run from 9:00 AM- 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Specialty Camp hours will be listed on their specific information pages.

6) Should my child bring a lunch to camp? Is there a meal plan?

Your child should bring a snack, lunch and water each day to camp. Should you pack a lunch, please bring a non-refrigerated lunch and remember to not pack any peanut products. Please be aware that there are children with severe allergies to peanut products attending our camps. New meal plan options are available, please contact (519) 973-7029 for more information.

A meal plan option is also available for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The cost is $6.00/day. This must be purchased by the Monday of the camp week. The meal plan order form must also be competed and returned by the Monday of the camp week. Please see form below.

7) What do you do when it rains?

Our facilities allow us to move our outdoor camps inside in the event of inclement weather. 

8) What discounts do I receive if I am registering more than one child for camp?

Once you register in any of our camps at the regular price, you will receive a $20 discount maximum on any full week camps that you register for. Discounts are only offered for regular camps and not for any specialty camps. 

9) How do I know what days my child will be swimming?

Campers will enjoy recreational swimming for 1 hour max. every day in the non-varsity sport camps. Varsity sport campers will be given the option to swim daily, based on coaches preference.

10) What should I pack for camp?

All campers will participate in swimming and other physical activities daily. A swim suit, towel, running shoes, sunscreen and water bottles are required. Please do not send your child to camp in sandals, crocs, or heels. Also remember NOT to pack items such as trading cards, video games, cell phones, or anything of value with your child. 11) What are the requirements to be a counsellor?

The counsellors are either current or former University of Windsor Students and Student Athletes. All of our counsellors will be certified in CPR C, First-Aid, and have current police clearances.
