BALLET FIT
Ballet Fit is a technique-focused class open to dancers of allbackgrounds and levels looking to enhance posture, co-ordination,balance and flexibility. This class will explore the fundamental movement principles of ballet through stretching, barre work and centre floor combinations. Also will work towards some dance
performances!

UKRAINIAN DANCE
Open to all levels of difficulty and to men and women, this class is perfect for those people who are looking to partake in some great physical exercise and intensive cardio, without the use of a treadmill or other machine! This class will teach you everything from the elegant and proper techniques of Ukrainian dance, to its energetic and lively choreography! The many diverse regions of Ukraine are portrayed through this culture-packed dance class, and you will leave the class full of energy and excitement!

BURLESQUE
This burlesque class is for any ladies who want to feel sexy, have fun and have a good work out! We will be dancing to some of the famous burlesque songs from Christina Aguilera's movie Burlesque? as well as some other classic songs. Burlesque combines the basic moves from jazz and integrates it with chair dancing, adding a sexy feel good vibe. This class is meant to build self-confidence and allows women to feel comfortable and sexy in their own skin. Heels on, and hair down are not required but are encouraged! This is a great way to have some fun with your girlfriends while making new ones. (Female only class)

COUNTRY HIP HOP

Join the trendiest set of tunes with a mash-up of the top country music hits with a hip hop spin! This class will teach you more than just some country moves, it will include some hip hop too, all while combined with an intense cardio workout! Join Miss Tanya in our newly offered country- hip hop class! For beginners, advanced and dancers who just want to have fun! There’s no way you’ll leave this class without a smile, a sweat, and a sweet set of new dance moves! Come on out Monday & Wednesday evenings and be part of #lancerdance.

HIP HOP/JAZZ

Join Paige Wednesday evenings with her Hip Hop/ Jazz class! This dynamic and upbeat class offers technical training in Jazz and hip hop dance paired with inventive and energetic choreography in both genres. Dancers will develop a sense of rhythm, technical vocabulary, rhythm and self-expression.

MIDDLE EASTERN BELLY DANCE

Join professinal Belly Dancer, Sandra in learning the art of Middle Eastern Belly Dance. During this 90 minutes session, you will rock a powerful warm-up/workout that will prepare the body physically and mentally for dance. The workout will increase stamina, strength and flexibility to add more pep to your step in and out of class!

You will learn proper breathing techniques and perfect posture for Belly Dance. Explore techniques common to all styles of Belly Dance and use them in fun sequences to beautiful Middle Eastern musical rhythms. The conclusion of each class will involve learning and expanding on class choreography.
Each class will conclude with a centering cooldown that will leave you energized and ready for your weekend!

BALLROOM DANCING

This course will provide you with the opportunity to learn and practice the graceful modern ballroom dances such as the WALTZ, TANGO, HUSTLE, BLUES and FOXTROT. You will learn the fundamental dance components, base timings/rhythms, key foot patterns and essential leading and following techniques. We start with basic partnering and single steps, and advance to more difficult steps and variations. It is a necessary social grace that fills a need in both the business world and on a personal level. Have a fun and great workout! A partner is helpful but not mandatory.

About the Instructor:
Elena Semenov
           Winner of numerous awards in professional international Ballroom and Latin dance competitions and championships, Elena leads Ballroom, Latin and social dance classes year-round. She is an accomplished instructor with teaching experience of over 17 years in Europe and North America.
           Elena was trained as professional dancer in Russia in the world famous Ballroom and Latin Dance School since the early age of 14. She was professional competitive dancer for many years, have performed, taught, choreographed, organized, promoted and hosted numerous parties, theater productions and dance functions. She has been frequently featured in local and national radio, newspapers and the television including special documentary film about her “From far and wide” for Canada's day. For the last few years she has taught and choreographed, consulted and judged for popular show “Dancing with the Stars”.

           In Windsor Elena has been teaching both Ballroom and Latin Dance courses in St. Clair College, University of Windsor and Mackenzie Hall for the past ten years. In her own studio she teaches master classes and workshops for an advanced level of Ballroom and Latin dancers as well as choreographs and coaches them for competitions and championships.
           An accomplished instructor and performer, Elena has inspired thousands of students around the world to embrace the art of Ballroom and Latin Dance.

LATIN DANCING

Break free and enjoy the coordination and freedom of movement. Learn the hottest Latin dances like the SALSA, RUMBA, SWING/JIVE, and CHA-CHA-CHA. We start with simple basic steps and gradually progress to more complicated figures, techniques and amalgamations. It is a necessary social grace that fills a need in both the business world and on a personal level. Improve your flexibility, strength and endurance. Get fit while having fun! A partner is helpful but not mandatory.

LANCER DANCE ( 11 - 13 years)

Our elder Junior dance class is for individuals aged 11-13, and it too will focus on a variety of dance types at a recreational level. Suggested for beginners or experienced dancers alike. Ballet, Jazz. Hip hop, contemporary dance, lyrical are just a few types that will be taught. This class too will learn choreography based on the skill level of the dancers. The opportunity to perform will also be available and highly suggested! Looking forward to all the prospective Lancer Dancers! This program will be taught be returning Ballet Gold Medalist and dance instructor Tanya Van Dongen. Hope to see you there! Ballet shoes and body suits are required.

LANCER DANCE ( 7 - 10 years)

This newly developed program will develop on teaching children aged 7-10 a variety of dance types at a recreational level. This program is for beginners, and even advanced dancers who love to perform and continue dancing! The class will focus on developing ballet skills, hip hop, jazz, and contemporary dance. The dancers will have the opportunity to touch on a variety of dance types and work towards developing choreography for a dance. They will have the opportunity to perform as well! Join our exciting new dance program Saturday mornings! Ballet shoes and body suits are required.
