Student Financial Planning

Planning out the next three to seven years of your post-secondary experience with respect to your finances can be compared to building a home.  You need a plan and a solid foundation before you can start putting up the walls.  In our experience, if you don't look ahead and plan accordingly, it is like building walls on a substandard foundation.  Eventually, the walls will crumble.

Take the time to investigate funding options early.  Be sure to apply for programs such as the Ontario Student Assistance Program or OSAP early and be sure to submit all paperwork on time.  Apply for bursaries and awards that you might potentially qualify for.  Pay attention to deadline dates and details surrounding other funding options that might be available.

Don't leave your eligibility to chance.  Invest the time.  It will be well worth it in the end.  Stay organized especially when it comes to your student loan correspondence.  Understand your rights and your responsibilities.

Build a strong foundation for your future and your future will always be bright!
